Katie has been interested in photography for over eight years. This started when she found her grandad’s own experience with photography which consisted of his own personal negs, darkroom processed paper and she was completely inspired to pursue that type career. She is interested in all aspects of photography and would love to gain experience in all topics and not limit herself to just one type of photography, but if she had to choose, she would specialise in portraiture and film. She has gained confidence, independence and genuine growth during her full two year duration of the level 3 BTEC diploma course at Leicester college. She feels that her skills have been enhanced during the two year process. These being learning how to use gel, how to work studio lights and the full processes of film. Katie feels that whenever there is a new unit to complete, she puts her heart and soul into it which is why she feels she has grown into an aspiring photographer.
